Our aims are:

     - To promote the study of, and interest in, South Shields Roman Fort and other Roman sites in the

        north-east

     - To carry out archaeological research

     - To recreate as accurate a picture as possible of life in the third century through the re-enactment

       group Cohors V Gallorum
